MISSION
The Society is affiliated with the European Hernia Society and fully shares its institutional objectives.
It aims to become a reference point within the Scientific Community in the field of abdominal wall conditions.

The project aims to provide accurate information for those wishing to deepen their knowledge in hernia surgery and abdominal wall surgery, offering a significant opportunity for sharing and continuous training for professionals practicing this type of surgery.
The Society is accredited as an E.C.M. Provider by the Ministry of Health.
The ISHAWS’ assets consist of the membership fees paid to the chapter, which will be transferred to the EHS for its share. Therefore, members of ISHAWS will simultaneously be members of EHS and will have the right to receive the official publication of the EHS, the journal "Hernia."
Additionally, the assets will include any funds from contributions by public and private entities, donations, bequests from individuals, and anything else expressly left to it. Any financial income will be used for administrative expenses, the implementation of scientific projects, and anything related to the subject matter.
