The ISHAWS, Italian Society of Hernia and Abdominal Wall Surgery, the Italian chapter of the EHS, European Hernia Society, grants the sponsorship of the Society and the use of the logo to all events that have educational and training value and are in line with the mission, purpose, and objectives of the Society.

How to Request Sponsorship:
The request, made by the scientific director of the event, an ISHAWS member in good standing with the membership fee, must be submitted to the Society's Secretariat at least 90 days prior to the event date to be presented to the Board of Directors. The Board will issue its opinion within the following 30 days. The decision of the Board of Directors is final.

The request letter must include:
1 The name and surname of the applicant, their position, and the organization where they work;
2 The title, location, and date of the event: the event date must not coincide with that of events directly promoted by ISHAWS;
3 An approximate number of expected participants;
4 Requested sponsorships;
5 Sponsorship requests from other scientific societies.

The following documents must be attached to the request:
– The scientific program (even if preliminary);
– A rationale outlining the event's format, objectives, and target audience;
– A list of invited speakers.

Evaluation Criteria:
– Relevance of the topics;
– Comparison of the scientific topics with those of events previously sponsored by ISHAWS in the same regional/interregional area to avoid overlap/duplication;
– Educational and training quality;
– Scientific value and credibility of the speakers/moderators.

The Board of Directors reserves the right to request modifications to the program and organizational plan to align the request with the evaluation criteria.

Communication of Sponsorship Approval
The Society's Secretariat will notify the applicant and, in the case of a favorable opinion, will: send the institutional logo of the Society, which must be used according to the provided guidelines;
Publish a dedicated banner on the ISHAWS website with a link to the event website;
Conduct a mass mailing to all its members.

According to current privacy laws, ISHAWS is not authorized to send the membership list to event promoters.
