CORPORATE STRUCTURE
The governing body of ISHAWS is the Board of Directors, which is composed as follows:
Three Founding Members
One President, identified as the outgoing National Delegate
One National Delegate, appointed by the EHS international board upon the proposal of the Board of Directors, which selects the candidate from eligible members
Eight Board Members, elected by the Society’s Assembly, convened by the President, from members in good standing with their membership. Members in good standing but not present at the Assembly may be represented by a proxy to the President or the National Delegate, or they may vote via email (to the secretariat).
The Board of Directors assigns the roles of Secretary and Treasurer to two Board Members, respectively.
Two Website Delegates, also elected following the same procedures as Board Members.
The members of the Board of Directors, except for the Founding Members who are part of it by right, serve a three-year term and may be re-elected.
The President has administrative duties, working with the Secretary and Treasurer, convenes the Board of Directors, and, in collaboration with them, organizes scientific and educational activities. The President also acts as an intermediary with companies for potential sponsorships.
The National Delegate is the official representative of ISHAWS (Italian Chapter) to EHS. They assist the President in carrying out their duties.
The Secretary Board Member is responsible for maintaining updated membership records and contact information. In collaboration with the Website Delegates, they ensure that all members are promptly informed of the Society's activities.
The Treasurer Board Member is responsible for managing the membership fees, ensuring the payment of annual dues, documenting management expenses, and, in coordination with the National Delegate, paying the required fee to EHS.
ISHAWS members agree not to carry out scientific or educational activities related to the field, both nationally and internationally, under the aegis or patronage of EHS without the explicit consent of the President and National Delegate.
